The key to happiness is to be excited about some thing/one... and being extremely subtle about it..

music...

What is music !!!

Why do we like to hear it.. Is it the lyrics? There are times I don't pay any attention to the lyrics but like the song.. and like a lot.. so its not entirely about what the song says..

So, it has to be about the core pattern of the sound.. It sets our mood.. Mood has a lot to do with emotions, thoughts.. So, a certain kind of pattern of sound has the ability to bring out certain thoughts and emotions in us.. Its getting complex and hence less fun than just listening to the music...

What does it imply -> The very exercise of understanding the nature results in the decrease of fun that it provides.. ->> Nature has an inherent trait to remain a mystery.. At least it attempts to remain a mystery..

music

No wonder there was a need to create music because at times, words are not enough... Words have limitations... A severe one.. It lacks the depth, the energy, that you feel when you are sitting in your room listening to the Beethoven's 3rd symphony.. But the best part is the fact that you don't care how the other person takes it.. And why should you... :).. The feeling of elation that you perceive is way too much to care..

And, in all this I am being the harshest possible.. The thing with music (if you get it i.e.) is that when you feel it, you enjoy it..But, that enjoyment is so personal that you don't want to share it.. At least, you don't feel the need to..

But, like every good things in life, it comes with a price.. You feel absolutely self sufficient... You are suddenly released from the prison called LIFE...

Even while writing this text, I have a feeling that I am missing the fun.. The funny part is that I don't think there are a lot of people, who will even come close to feeling what I am.. I am almost coming out as a person who is a snob.. Thats what I mean... This is what music gives you...

At any rate, its much deeper and satisfying than any other activity in life...

The man who destroyed the beautiful dream...

There was this girl. A tennis enthusiast living in an uptown city in India, a place where great sages and the Mahatma lived... This girl was once called by a man to his office only to be molested by him. The girl confused and traumatized reported this to her father. The incident was reported to the DG of one of the most developed state of India, a place where great sages and the Mahatma lived..

The man called the girl's father and asked him to withdraw the case or else he would destroy the family. When the complaint was not withdrawn, he sent policemen to the girl's house to threaten the family. The family was told they would be thrown out of the house if they didn't withdraw the case. The man, then sent the goondas to the girl's house, who threw stones at her house. During the day, the goondas screamed filthy abuses at the girl. Cases of auto thefts were registered against the girl's brother. When the girl's family still did not budge, the girl was thrown out of the school. The girl had to give up tennis, her passion. She began to live like a prisoner in her house.

The police, then arrested her brother and began torturing him. He was beaten up, again and again, often in the presence of the man, who threatened him even as the policemen tortured the boy.

In October 1993, her brother was picked up by the police, handcuffed and paraded around the neighborhood. Her brother was again beaten up in jail. He was denied food and water.

On December 23, 1993, the girl's brother was released. The boy was happy to be released but was unhappy not to find his sister anywhere. His sister was angry with this man. She cried and cried and thought about the miseries she had brought to her bother and her family. She finally decided to leave this great place, a place where great sages and the Mahatma lived, a place we are all proud to be part of, and went to live with the gods..

Creativity... ahh gimme a break..

Lets get down to the basic question here... Whats the point of writing?... Reader's admiration i suppose unless i missed the entire theme i guess.. So when a writer writes, he seeks approval from the maximum people who happen to read it.. But then more the people who read it more the minds' approval he seeks.. In the process of doing so the writer has to tone down his creativity both in terms of ideas and language. He needs to stick to a particular language structure and a theme his reader could relate to.. Even a writer of a relatively abstract piece needs to be aware of this fact lest he risks loosing the fame he enjoys among his relatively intellectual readers.. He needs to ensure that even while venturing among his wildest imagnations he has his reader's atleast guessing as opposed to writing him off as a guy finally gone mad..

The point is the best case scenario that exists for a writer is to have a limited readership.. The less the better, lesser the mind that cares to venture into his ideas lesser the censure he risks.. But then, all the famous writers that the world has ever known have kindled millions of minds.. what about them.. Does this rule apply to them? Did they suppress their ideas, their style, their anger, their true ideas, to conform to the minds of the larger population, to become famous perhaps, to make money ofcourse... Thats one cause nobody in planet earth would object to..Everybody is after it afterall. The very parameter of being successful infact is the number of digits you have stashed up in your bank accounts. And why is being successful so supremely important.. Well, because this very question might land you in a category of people called loosers.. So where does all this take us to.. It takes us to the dichotomy that life always takes us to.. Absolute Happiness is an illusion and you shall never have it..

The larger point is that the fight between true creativity that ignores popular credentials and the so called creativity which "appeals" to the masses has been and will be fought forever.. There might never be clear winners, there never will be, the very nature of this planet earth would ensure it.. Considering the amount of time the likes of Galileo and Einstein took to put across their ideas to this obstinately sure world, it looks like we shall continue to progress in the same stifled manner that we have
